In 1989, an international team of six nations, led by leading Japanese adventurer Keizo Funatsu, attempted a crossing of Antarctica to raise awareness of the importance of the environment and peace. They all reached the finish line safely in March 1990. This hooded waterproof shell jacket is based on the clothing worn by the original Antarctic crossing team members. It features a GORE-TEX PRODUCTS 2-layer construction and a durable 200-denier recycled nylon outer fabric. The front features a double flap for improved waterproofing. Underarm ventilation efficiently releases moisture. The left chest and back feature the flags of the countries that participated in the Antarctic crossing, and a "TransAntarctica Expedition" silicone patch is placed on the left arm. The jacket has a long length that covers the hips.
It is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or stains.
